hey there! I'm Emily
My professional journey started in the classroom. At 21, I was teaching algebra and geometry to a room full of 9th and 10th graders. At the time, I could have never pictured leading the agency I do today, but looking back, it’s clear that season was preparing me for exactly this work.
Bear with me, because I know what you’re thinking, "how on earth does teaching algebra and geometry relate to digital marketing?"
As a teacher (and especially a math teacher), you learn how to “sell” something that most people aren’t exactly eager to buy. My product back then was convincing teenagers that learning equations actually mattered, though that’s a topic for another day.
Teaching taught me how to connect with people, communicate clearly, and make complex ideas simple. And then, my world completely changed; I found out I was expecting a beautiful baby girl.
And so my journey continued
I realized the same clarity I used to bring to my classroom could help business owners find confidence in their marketing.
In 2023, just one month before my daughter was born, I launched Saylor+Co. I’d spent years helping students understand complex ideas and find clarity in the process, and I wanted to bring that same approach to business owners who felt lost in their marketing.
